Healty hair update

Here is my update on the experiment with the healthy option to washing hair, you can read my previous blog on this topic here.

My hair is my pride, and when I totally was ready to leave the whole story with the apple cider vinegar and home made shampoo the revelation came to me!

Here is my little story.

My hair was very oily and dry at the same time and dandruffy.  I was panicking as I hate dandruff and itchiness. My husband was already saying - just get the shampoo and done with that.

But as i am stubborn, I decided to give it a last try, and I switched completely to baking soda and water shampoo method. It is so easy! Just in the empty shampoo bottle put one spoon of baking soda and one cup of room temperature water, shake it and vuola! your shampoo is ready. Then simply apply to the roots massaging your head and leave it for few moments. After that just wash it out thoroughly under your shower

Now for the last 2 weeks I use this method and it is a miracle! My hair is silky and smooth again! I can brush them easily and now I can leave my hair down. Yes I might hear you saying - OMG its too long for transition. But I think if I would start straight with the baking soda it would be much quicker.

I must say I have alternate my methods. I use less apple cider vinegar for conditioning my hair and I use it only on ends and with baking soda I use it only on roots.

It makes miracles! I highly recommend this method!

Mono eating

Lately I have been attracted to mono eating.

What is mono eating? When you consume only one type of food in one seating. In my case one fruit at the time. No mixing, no dressings.

It states that mono eating is fantastic for optimal digestion. When you give your stomach to absorb all the nutrients of the fruit and not be bothered with dividing one from another. The food is easily digested due to the enzymes that it contains. When our body is not busy with dividing different enzymes and nutrients in can be doing what it does the best - self healing and detoxification, removing all the undigested food in our intestines that we have collected for years of consuming refined foods, meats and diary. raw food it self already working as a scrub on the intestines  and in this way I think it will be working in more efficient way.

More I research on this topic more it resonate with me, my body telling me that this is the right way for now, for this moment.

It is easy to follow: hungry - eat one fruit - no mess, no recipes  no cooking, no thinking of what to prepare with what I had some issues previously as I always was thinking of what I will eat for lunch and dinner. Now my problem is sorted.

I will give it a go and I declare a mono eating challenge from today! I am not going to set the counting days, just going to take it day by day and see where and what it will bring to me.

New Year Night Cupcakes

Hurray! The New Year Night was absolutely amazing, I was eating my melon and drinking my orange juice.

I have enjoyed the night in between people I didn't knew and in the arms of my husband. I missed him last year as he was away, this night was magical.

Back to business of cupcakes. I have made them, but did not take them with me as I did not anticipated the quantity of dates that I had.

it is simple and delicious recipe with few ingredients. Here is what you need:

First step is the base:

1 cup of nuts, any nuts like almonds, walnuts or pecans.
1 cup of dates
4 table spoons of water
1 spoon of raw cocoa or carob

Crush the nuts in the food processor and set aside. Then mix the dates and water in food processor it will make paste like consistency. Then mix in the bowl date paste and nuts, you will get nutty dough. I really liked to add water in the dates and only then mixing with nuts, I find it much better rather then just blend it all together.

Fill the cupcakes forms with the nut base.

Next step is cream:
500 gram of ripe persimmons
1/5 tea spoon of cinnamon

Just blend the persimmons in the Vitamix.

And pour the cream into the cupcakes.

should look like this:

Cupcakes are ready to go to the freezer just for one hour. I thought it was to little and I left it for the whole night - big mistake!

The next morning the cupcakes turned into the ice cream.

The recipe needs alternations that I came up with. After the base is made put the cupcakes in to the freezer for few hours, I think the more the better. Then when you are about to have your party or guests pour the cream in the forms and back in the freezer for about one hour. This way the cream will not become ice cream and the base will not fall apart.  I hope you will enjoy this recipe!
